Numb3rs is a popular CSI-style television show that is currently running on CBS. The show usually starts off with some type of crime, that ends up under the investigation of the Los Angeles FBI unit. The case is often too difficult for the team to crack and they turn to Charlie for some type of mathematical solution to the case. This format is standard for each show, but the great characters and unique cases keep the show interesting for any viewer. Charlie Eppes could be considered the main character of the show. He tries to help his brother, Alan, as best as he can. Charlie enjoys putting his math skills to use and he is crushed when his strategies fail. Don, Charlie's brother, is a very dedicated FBI agent at the L.A. office of the FBI. He recruited his brother to help him solve some of the most difficult cases that they face. Alan is Charlie's and Don's father. He is very worried about the danger that both of his son's face while they work on their cases. Amita is Charlie's love interest on the show, but she also helps Charlie see some of his cases in a new light. Larry Fleinhardt is one of Charlie's colleagues and friends. He is somewhat more socially akward than Charlie, but he is a good friend who provides Charlie with help on some of his most difficult problems. Charlie and Don are supported by a team of several FBI agents who do the necessary footwork that allows Charlie to get the evidence that he needs to fill out his problems. Numb3rs is another great show that follows the template of the CSI series. It's unique use of mathematics makes every episode unique and entertaining though. The show continues to please its fans with thrilling plots and interesting facts on mathematics in everyday and it should continue to please as it enters its third season.
